There are a new set of industry classification codes now being adopted from January 1st 2007.

The following table shows how the new codes match up with the most recent 2003 revision.

Note:  SIC 2003 has 17 sections and 62 divisions. SIC 2007 has 21 sections and 88 divisions.

Work remains to be done on the preparation of an introduction and guidance notes to the new classification, correspondence tables between SIC 2003 and SIC 2007, and indexes. These will be published later in the year.
